Remove the guns and then....

Eighteen school shootings since January 1, 2018. That's what the news is saying on boob tubes everywhere. And, as expected, a call is going out to restrict and or ban guns everywhere. This cry from mostly the Left is exactly the sort of wrong headed thinking that makes Democratically run cities complete shit holes.

Removing guns completely from schools would have the same effect as it did in parts of Europe where even the police are unarmed. The crazies merely went over to driving trucks through crowds when they weren't blowing themselves up with explosive vests! And, the nut job kids who are likewise preordained to kill will come up with the same sort of tactics, in a heat beat...

So, what's the solution. Simple. Train some of the willing teachers how to be responsible carriers of lethal weapons and turn them lose. But, also test and certify them on a regular basis. Watch the school shooting plummet. (We already did that, you know, when concealed carry became pretty much ubiquitous all across the US, some years ago. The number of robberies then went down partly due to the fact that even a crazy person could not be sure of who was and who was not armed).

Now, will that idea ever fly. No. Speaking plainly, the Democrats have had such a hard on for gun restriction to such a great extent, that Nancy Pelosi has announced that gun control and confiscation will be a major part of the 2020 election ticket. As has been the case, in the past, Democrats never let opportunities to use fear to gather votes. Their 'the sky is always falling' tool along with political correctness is about all they have left these days...

Take or create fear - Mold it into a fix that adds even more government control - Get the votes -  repeat! The rubes will never know what hit them...

Attorney General Holder: Golly, just look at what Eric's up to these days?

It is not without some sense of relief that I recently discovered that at least a few of Obama's appointed officials are out there spending out money wisely. Take Eric Holder, for instance. He's been busy with his DOJ, thinking about how it might be possible to force gun owners to wear a bracelet that could communicate with the wearer's gun so that it would only fire for that individual. Seriously! Who else in this entire world could have thought up something like that? And, what could possibly go wrong with such an approach?

At a time when other agencies, like the Hilliary Clinton's State Department, who can't seem to account for billions in past expenditures, it's comforting to know that our Attorney General has his head squarely screwed on his shoulders and is spending the People's money so wisely! Personally, I cannot think up even one thing that could ever go wrong with such an approach to gun control. Can you? Maybe, they could also come up with a neck brace that could go around overweight people necks! That way, whenever they try and walk into a fast food place, it could begin to constrict their necks in such as way as to make eating impossible! What? What's wrong with that idea? It's progressive, don't ya think?

We are all living in very fast paced times, and some things that are happening here at home (as of late) are troubling to many! - although, I'm not advocating anything presented here in this video. That said, I am an American and I will defend my Republic and the citizens who dwell therein, to the last drop of my blood!

I agree with Sheriff Jimmie Russell on gun control!

I recently read an article that concerned gun control in a local edition of the Branson Tri-Lakes News. The article was written by Stephen Herzog and concerned comments made by Taney County Sheriff Jimmie Russell as to his thoughts concerning what has become a national controversy, ever since the  events that transpired at the Sandy Hook elementary school in Connecticut.

Sheriff Russell made it clear in his remarks that he feels the root cause of many problems with face with shooting lie not in the weapon as much as it does the on-going failure of our society to address mental heal issues. In the article, Sherriff Russell noted that ‘they’ve closed two mental hospitals’ in Missouri; this occurring at a time when the number of mental patients is on an increase and not a decrease. An article posted by ABC News found a study that shows as many as 1 in 5 Americans currently suffer some form of mental illness. And, increasingly, these people are falling through the net that is supposed to be in place to protect the rest of society.

Sheriff Russell also directed some of his remarks to local area schools and the need felt by some to install persons with concealed carry privilege onsite as a possible deterrent to random acts of violence. Mr. Russell felt that while the idea should merit consideration, he would be concerned that a person who was carrying a concealed weapon might not be able to retain it properly and so would require additional training.

My response to that statement would be for the state to insure proper training, but to also insure that they get some guns on location and then to advertise the fact. The reality is that the chances for someone to attack one of our schools in the manner that happened at Sandy Hook is very remote. (Even the gun control lobby acknowledges that fact). However, I would propose that just the rumor that some personnel ‘may’ be carrying’ would be enough to deter unstable individuals from even trying. (I base that assumption on the fact that in every instance of past mass shootings, these acts were done in ‘gun free zones’). While these shooter may be truly 'insane', they still are intelligent enough to pick the 'softest' targets available.

In summary, I think Sheriff Russell and others might agree; if you enforce the laws currently on the books, make gun offenses Federal offenses, teach kids responsible gun safety and protect our school children in the same manner we protect our money in banks, then everything just might work out!
