The who, what and why about Nick Drake can be garnered at other sites. Me (patently insane) and Nick (who I never met) did share many things in common. He obsessed with his height, I on the other hand, was concerned with other social shortcomings. That said, each of us, man women and child, will face many life challenges. It's how we deal with them, over the course of a lifetime, that defines the way in which our peers perceive who and what we are at any point in time. (God, of course, knew that shit about us all along)..
Some political commentary, a little science & reviews on fast food and maybe a few songs! Got a problem with that? OK, so I'm an acquired taste...

Colorado massage and Nick Drake!
Saturday sun came early one morning
In a sky so clear and blue
Saturday sun came without warning
So no-one knew what to do
In a sky so clear and blue
Saturday sun came without warning
So no-one knew what to do
Saturday sun brought people and faces
That didn’t seem much in their day
But when I remembered those people and places
They were really too good in their way
That didn’t seem much in their day
But when I remembered those people and places
They were really too good in their way
In their way
In their way
Saturday sun won’t come and see me today
In their way
Saturday sun won’t come and see me today
Think about stories with reason and rhyme
Circling through your brain
And think about people in their season and time
Returning again and again
Circling through your brain
And think about people in their season and time
Returning again and again
And again
And again
And again
But Saturday’s sun has turned to Sunday’s rain
So Sunday sat in the Saturday sun
So Sunday sat in the Saturday sun
and wept for a day gone by...
Remembering Nick Drake from the 60's and what he was, could have been and is now remembered by a small dedicated click of humanity.....

Aina J - working at massage in Denver CO!
Had to post this great lady working in Denver to the tunes of Nick Drake's Saturday Sun. My side note; the masses that are us will watch with little awe while missing the salient points of Nick's song entirely... I've been to this place in Colorado as a youth and can remember the smells, the smells that only a young child or a dog's nose could appreciate.

Nick Drake and Saturday Sun - circa 1969!
'But Saturday’s sun has turned to Sunday’s rain
So Sunday sat in the Saturday sun
So Sunday sat in the Saturday sun
and wept for a day gone by..'
It took me just about forever to understand the real meaning behind Nick Drake's most beautiful song Saturday Sun.
Composed, and then released
in 1969 under the Five Leaves Left album, Saturday Sun was the last song on that album. It was cut number 10, and sadly the album as a whole, didn't sell well at the time..... (It's picked up since then, and is selling well as of 2014)!
Just four short years after the albums release, Mr. Drake committed suicide,
and died from an overdose of amitriptyline. Was it an intentional act? No one knows. What is sure, is that he battled constant depression,
(something I too am very familiar with). Nick, you see, was very self
conscious about his height, even to the point of distraction. And, he used that as a focus..... I guess that's all it takes.... some perceived short
coming and off we all go to the deep end of the mental pool! Well, Nick, thanks for the song and a lesson well learned! (Thankfully, and in point of fact, I'm actually quite short myself)! But, in both our lives, a large dog still guards us nightly!

Nick Drake - Saturday Sun!
One very cool dude!
Nicholas Rodney "Nick" Drake was an English singer-songwriter and musician, known for his acoustic guitar-based songs. He failed to find a wide audience during his lifetime but his work has gradually achieved wider notice and recognition. Today, he is a cult icon..
