It's almost Halloween!

Hi, we're from the Federal government and we're here to help! Sure!
It's late October 2015 and many a tiny ghoul, goblin or ghost will soon be making their way from door to door, collecting some great treats. Meanwhile, Mr. and Mrs. America will be cowering at home waiting for Washington DC to pay more tricks on them and the Republic for which they used to stand...

Get ready to be scared, really scared.....

Water Heaters to cost everyone more!
On April 16, 2015, new water heater energy factor (EF) requirements took effect as the result of updates to the National Appliance Energy Conservation Act (NAECA). These requirements call for higher energy factor (EF) ratings on virtually all residential gas, electric, oil, and tankless gas water heaters, completely altering the water heater landscape. NAECA 2015 also affects some light-duty commercial water heaters.

Wanna go hunting, ya better be old enough!
The United States Government has decided 2015 is the year to enact a new nationwide “minimum hunting age” of 21. Previously, each state has set its own minimum age for a hunter to hunt alone and sometimes a different age for minors to hunt while in the company of an adult. - See more at: http://nationalreport.net/federal-government-restrict-hunting-setting-minimum-age-21/#sthash.FRyVmBsM.dpuf

EPA to impose higher restrictions on coal fired power plants!
In his march to protect the world from climate change, Obama has set out on a one man campaign (with the support of the uber Left), to move cola fired power plants out of the picture via severe restrictions while pouring billions into research for alternative power like windmills. That plan should work out really well (tongue in cheek) as energy costs skyrocket for an already cash strapped nation. Note: For now the Supreme Court has blocked the new rulings... for now.

Glenn Beck. Your event is OK by me!

As a matter of fact, any time you get more than one person together as in a party at some person’s house, the topics of religion, race, economy and politics will invariably come up. That is human nature and the way we are.

The fact that Glenn Beck has chosen Martin Luther King’s ‘I have a Dream’ speech date is rather cute in my view. I applauded Dr. King and his efforts of so long ago to help right some of the wrongs a nation heaped on a people due mostly to the color of their skin. For my part, I don’t give a rat’s ass what color a person is. I will like or dislike them based on their belief set and on what they do. I have had friends of all color and belief systems as friends and have been made more whole as a result.

The fact that Sarah Palin will also attend has been pointed to by a few as making this a political rally. So, what is my response? I would love to see Obama, Pelosi and Reid attend this celebration also, but doubt that will happen. No, the problem some have with Glenn Beck is that he pretty much tells it the way it is. It’s just sometimes the picture he paints of us is not very pretty.
