Aina J - working at massage in Denver CO!

Had to post this great lady working in Denver to the tunes of Nick Drake's Saturday Sun. My side note; the masses that are us will watch with little awe while missing the salient points of Nick's song entirely... I've been to this place in Colorado as a youth and can remember the smells, the smells that only a young child or a dog's nose could appreciate.

Robert Palmer - Didn't mean to turn you on..

Just watching the floor for the right words... I've been doing that all my life!
If you're not sure what I'm talking about, then you never really knew Mr. Palmer! Back in that day, so far ago, my olfactory senses were much keener, and so my memories of those times are tinted with the memory of the smells of crowded rooms, cigarette smoke and other smells that I now (belatedly) realize were actually 'pheromones' wafting through the air. Heady times they were, way back when, only just a few moments or decades ago...

X-Class Solar flare heading our way!

The sun fired off a medium-strength flare on Tuesday (Sept. 9), then followed up with an Earth-directed X-class flare — the most powerful type — on Wednesday evening (Sept. 10). Both storms erupted from a sunspot known as Active Region 2158, which will be the focus of a webcast hosted today at 1 p.m. EDT (1700 GMT) by the online Slooh Community Observatory on its website:  www.slooh.com.

This storm will not be a direct hit - although it could disrupt some power lines and maybe kill a few satellites!

Is this meal really Paleo? Well....

This lunch, I enjoyed this date, was Paleo in some sense of the word, but maybe not in others. (I counted the meat and fruit on the plus side, while the pasta and bread were processed and therefore no-no's). Still, at just 498 calories, this was a fine diet-minded meal overall and will be followed by a fresh romaine salad for dinner tonight. And, I am doing something right as I've lost 4.2 pounds (see below) since the 25th of August when I started my Paleo Revised Diet!

Average daily caloric intake = 1992, average calories burned = 2217

Charlie's 'The Works' breakfast platter with bacon!

A popular meal call The Works is served up as a menu item at Charlie's Steak, Ribs and Ale in Forsyth Missouri (as well as at other locations in Branson) every morning! At just about $6, it's comprised of two eggs your way, toast, hash browns and a choice of meat ( I like to often go with the bacon). At 700 calories this meal compares very favorably with offerings from the other local fast food joints with the exception being a much nicer atmosphere.

Charlie's is located at 139 State Highway Y, Forsyth, MO 65653 and can be reached at (417) 546-2011.

Update: I visited Charlie's on June 6, 2016 for a great Works Platter, which now costs $6.49!

My server was the ever beautiful Lisa, who even though she was late, did a bang up job!

Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying! An Oldie, but very goodie!

Gerry and the Pacemakers! Good sounds!

"I've walked a very solitary path, all my life. Searching for fantasy and excitement, yet often finding only sadness. Still, at the end of those times, I would not have changed that course for anything.... The few friends I now enjoy, in the later times of my life, more than made up up for all those dead ends". DanO

Are we now Atlantis? Donovan..

A great song from the 60's - Donovan and me thought alike, back then - both starry-eyed Liberals..

After which came Louie by the Kingsmen!

KFC not the best!

KFC came in, according to a Consumer Reports survey as of of the worst fast food place to dine at...

The Double Down contains "bacon, two different kinds of melted cheese, the Colonel’s secret sauce... pinched in between two pieces of Original Recipe chicken fillets." It is also available with grilled chicken fillets instead of the Original Recipe fried fillets, and with KFC's Zinger fillets (spicy) to customers in Australia and South Africa. KFC describes the Double Down as a "sandwich" although it does not have bread.

Yeah, that sounds real healthy!

Collide by Howie Day!

'The dawn is breaking
A light shining through
You're barely waking
And I'm tangled up in you
Yeah
But I'm open, you're closed
Where I follow, you'll go
I worry I won't see your face
Light up again...'

The video is a mish-mash of scenes from another site of mine along with a song called Collide by Howie Day. (Please buy some of his music before he sues me)! No rhyme or reason here for this video...just some good music.... and just don't ask me about that black and white twig - I found it near a strong river, (sorry, my old friend River, I couldn't resist throwing you into this quantum mix just for grins)....The tracts of life and living grinds us down as we all see too very soon...

I only thought to share some lyrics of a song that seems to have reverberated pretty much throughout my life.... but know that even though we all collide with others all our lives, what's important is what we take away from the experience... bruises not withstanding.

OK - the twig thing! - The branches represent all that we have discovered about the physical makeup of the universe! The base of the 'tree' is the unification of all the forces..electromagnetic, the strong, the weak ............. and gravity. And yes, I left one force out - but, it's the one staring us all in the face!
Please! You all still don't get it? I'm not surprised! I didn't either for a long time. Ans: God's universe is replicated everywhere around us! Even in something so simple as a tree.... But now, please answer me this question! - If the branches of that tree represent all the forces of nature, what then of the roots which are unseen and hidden from our eyes? (Hint: perhaps a kind of broken or imperfect super-symmetry.. and we (that is, the universe as we see it today) is the resultant dregs of what amounts to an ancient cosmic orgasm))! Spooky and strange stuff that! [And no guys, I'm not on drugs! My convoluted and slightly diseased mind is responsible. Something I owe to growing up and reading way too many Stephen King novels]. Actually, no regrets there.... Mr. King does so inspire the mind...

So, at the end of this latest chapter of my life, I hope to rise up and scrap off the sand from my aging knees, and then move forward...  And if you my reader are even more curious... then please follow an ever deepening rabbit hole created by moi... but, please be prepared! The sounds therein are rather harsh!
