A breakfast blast of awesome nutrition!

As I had reached the incredible age of 66, and was still breathing, I wanted to pay more attention to two lifestyle changes; nutrition and exercise. Let's face it. When you're carting around a body that is well over a half century old, you just gots to take care of it as best as you can!

So, here is a typical breakfast meal deal that I often enjoy:

109 grams of lean roast beef – great protein source!
1/2 tsp prepared horseradish – an immune system stimulant!
1 cup tomato juice – fruits and veggie blast!
½ cup whole milk – a bit of vitamin D!
84 grams baked potato wedges – complex carbs!
29 grams onion
50 grams carrot chunks – a great carotene source!

This great meal start to any day has it all, in my opinion! High caliber protein, complex carbs, fruits and it contains a good dose of healthy fiber! The real kicker is that this meal is almost all absorbed by the small intestine!

Coming in at only about 460 calories, this mix of natural foods will give most anyone a very strong start to their day with only minimal impact to their homeostatic center line!

While this meal doesn't look to be that much, I found it quite filling and just the right amount to get me going on a planned two mile hike that same morning!
