I have decided to officially change my
choice of tuna when making a tuna salad sandwich from now on.
StarKist offer a white albacore tuna in water that really fills the
bill when it comes to taste and nutrition!
The small tin contains 4 ounces of tuna,
costs about $2 and makes two really decent sandwiches. My recipe for
tuna salad is 2 tablespoons of mayo and sweet pickle relish. When
mixed well with a fork, the taste is very nice. From a nutritional
standpoint, you're getting 340 calories along with a good slug of
Omega-3 fatty acids. The salt content also comes in at only about 500
mg so it's not too horrible compared to some of the other foods I eat
for lunch.
